Another Sicky Project (70 Rallye Cutlass S)
Awaiting shipment on the car right now to see in person what I have to do but figured i would start posting the pics that were sent to me and give the story up now.
First off Thanks so much 501Paratrooper for posting this car and making me a very happy camper.
501 posted this on the for sale thread and after waiting like 2 weeks to get a hold of the guy selling it i finally did, and i was luck too cause i was the first one to get ahold of him after he lost his numbers. Various problem pics were sent to me to show the problems and then I had 501 go out and check it out. After he sent me even more pictures and talking to him I decided to give this car a shot... Worse case scenario i bought a pretty freaking rare car (will find out if numbers matching when it arrives) for 3500 that runs (for now at least)
Right now waiting on the title to come in the mail and the shipping company should be picking it up Friday or Saturday and SHOULD be here early next week.

Something about San Antonio and Rallye 350's - my first A body was a auto Rallye Holiday Coupe bucket seat w/AC car I bought way back in 1985 and drove back to Dallas the same night I bought it. Paid 1500.00 for it - it seemed like a huge amount of money at the time. Good luck with your project!!

I hope you do not have to wait much longer. I bought my Cutlass while on vacation in Phoenix. When I left, I parked it in a storage locker. 44 days later, and switching to another shipping company, it finally arrived in Ottawa.
Maybe shipping companies just have something against Oldsmobile Sport Coupes?
As my parents told me while I was waiting "Just think of how much more excited you will be when it arrives". I am sure you will react to that comment the same way I did.
It looks like a nice project. Good luck and have fun with it.

Do you know if they are actually the company shipping the car or just a broker?

Yeah now i am not happy...... they still havent picked it up and now it will be picked up monday apparantly, the stupid broker sent the trucking company to Port St Lucie and not Jupiter....

No this one has to do with the broker of the shipping company itself. When i did the quote it was to Port St. Lucie and when i talked to him to confirm everything he said that he would fix it with the trucking company. But of course he did not, so they went to port st lucie to pick it up and then moved on lol

Lol nice fire just nice.... and the short answer to that question is no unicorns. the long answer to that would be its in austin right now, was supposed to be here last night but some lady didnt know you were supposed to pay in cash and then tried to write a personal check, which also isnt allowed. Then they were supposed to be here this morning and the brakes on the truck broke so i think they are still in Austin waiting on a phone call now.

Good one thats funny!^^^ I know the anticipation. I was waiting on a car trailer to make a delivery once and was so impatient I drove to the city limits waited and pulled out behind the truck hauling it. I became so tickled at the number of people who asked the guy if he wanted to sell it each time he pulled up to a stop light/sign. He never knew I was behind him until he got close to my street and gave me a call for directions.

Will you have any time to post pics? Or will you be busy working on the car now that it is in your possession?
Glad to hear it finally made it.
I am going through the excitement myself again, the car is done at the paint shop and will be towed back home this week.
