My name is Richard and I am a Caroholic....New wagon followed me home

I needed another car like a hole in the head but when you are an addict sometimes you can't say no. My convertible is for sale as you know. If it sells I need something to cruise. If it does not sell its coming apart for paint and I still need something to cruise. I don't need another major project right now so this fits the bill perfect. It runs and drives but smokes Its all original never wrecked and very solid. I need to fix the floor on the pass side and the core support is rusty under the battery. Minor rust at the windshield and thats it for the whole car. Rear seat, headliner, door panels and dash are near perfect. the front seat is rough though. The wheels are 15 x 7 original ET wheels.

Too Cool

Hi Richard!!
Welcome Booger!!
Coffee and donuts are available in the back of the room at anytime during group.
If anybody smokes you can go outside between the buildings at break.

That has to be one of the coolest type cars I've ever seen.
Two tone booger green at that.
Looks the same color as that girl's car that's on here all the time?

I didn't need another major project either but I caught the feared and dreaded "Mightaswells" after I brought the Vista cruiser home.
I've acknowleged that there's a higher power so far, one step at a time.....

Sandy you need to get one of those for Larry. So you can have a his and hers Olds. That will give Blue something else to work on.

Cool car Richard, a flat top! Welcome to the brotherhood of wagons! A few years ago Hot Rod ran an article on Wagons with half a dozen nice examples. One of the comments made was what does a car guy do when he has a family... buy a mini van? NO! He builds a vintage station wagon!!!

Congrats, even though it's green

Looking at the pictures one more time I see it has the two way tailgate, that's cool. It also has a roof rack, something most Vista Cruisers have but most flat tops don't. Have you crawled over it enough to tell us what other options it may have? What kind of drivetrain it's got? From the grill panels I think its a 1972, is that right? John

It's not a station wagon, it's a crossover!

Richard, why don't you build it up to my specifications and when you plan to sell, I will be first in line - I still want a nice VC or flattop...

Thanks guys. I have not let on to my affliction for wagons but its my 2nd favorite body style behind convertibles. This will be my forth wagon to own but the others were always on the back burner. The wagons I have had are 67 Chevelle, 64 nova, and 69 Impala 427 car. This will be a front burner project. I've got a 67 Cutlass 4 door hard top body that was going to be my buget cruiser project but it can go now that I have this.

What's in a name?

Great find Richard!! That's the same colour as my first Olds...'68 4-dr. Cutlass. "Booger"...a name that will live forever in infamy!! Maybe breed it to the Prettiest One and get a true "crossover"??

I will be looking for this one cruising around Rowlett. I can see the possibilities of this becoming a 442 Wagon. I love the wheels and they would look great on a 442 wagon. This will be a classic case of "as long as you have _____ then you might as well ______".

Saw the email where the daughter's arm had slipped and she was going to have to have surgery. Sorry to hear that.

Not sure. I may just sell it to help regroup with the money draining things going on in my life right now.
