Jetfire engine cleanup/project

This engine has had a hard life since I owned it. Out of a parts car I picked up about 4 years ago. I pulled the engine a couple years ago and it fell off the fork truck and flipped over on its top damaging the turbo and other parts. I got it home and in storage and it got knocked over while on the engine stand a week later hitting the floor really hard. Luckily, most of it survived. I am a couple years behind where I wanted to be on this engine but finely getting around to it.

I do have a plan for it in the future but for now, just putting new gaskets and timing set in it. It ran really nice when I fired it up 4 years ago so not rebuilding it. I did a compression test and a leak down test back then but can't remember what the numbers were. I just remember thinking it should be a really good engine. Want to cosmetically restore it. It will not be detailed to the level the engine is in my car but it will still look worthy of a show car when done.

I have a plan for it but not posting those plans yet. I am not 100% sure it will happen because I will have to pay someone for some fab and welding work to do it and not sure how much it will cost.

This is how I got it 4 years ago.

Good stuff Eric. The Jetfire is a very unique automobile and I enjoy watching your projects.
