I think you need to look for the factory seams and spot welds to answer your question on your parts car pull all the trim from the door and window area keep in mind you could cut any where you see fit but you might need to weld in bars to keep the shape before cutting things out

If you cut the sail panel area you would need to support the roof this is a lot of work when you can cut out a few inches and cut out the same on the parts car clamp or have a magnet hold your part in place as you weld or you could glue them in (fusion bound ) also if you clean a area up and it just has pin holes instead if cutting a section ( if a few small area ) you can braze the pun holes up and the brass doesn't rust

So then these supports would be done on the inside of the car? The head liner comes off and I can do this?

This only comes in play if your replacing major sections like roof or so on
If it's just a skin don't think you need to go this far
And yes that video summed it up but the saw doesn't work that fast the plasma cutter is tho lol

Just thought I would add that the five min video was proble like a hr or so of prep work that wasn't showed and most likely very skilled in the trade
