The back sections are the toughest

Finally got the dash installed, I got the blank 8 track housing and put in my power and usb ports and that's a Satellite Radio

Power ports and satellite radio

Replaced the rally pack with Speed hut gauges

Had them match up to my speedo

Not bad

Still have to glue the vinyl top on trying to fine someone to help that has done this, maybe taking this job on myself as well. I am in the home stretch hoping to finish by Fathers Day we have a car show that weekend would be nice to have it in.

Very nice work! I also have a 72 Flame Orange Supreme that I'm doing a rest on. Mine has a 455 and I'll be putting an OAI hood and Hurst shifter in it. The frame and engine are complete. I'm on the body now, but fortunately for me, mine didn't need as much surgery.

I did my vinyl top myself last year on my 67, I dont think it was too hard. With your attention to detail, you can do it. Get DAP Weldwood Landau top cement in the gallon can, a cheap paint/primer gun with large tip and suction can and you're good to go. Start leaving your top out in the sun to get it soft and fold marks softened. Your headliner is nice! You can do it. There is also a myth that you cant get DAP in certain states. I had it shipped to me in California, and the guy who sold it online told me it was only a handful of counties he could not ship to. You'll find retailers that will avoid the entire state because they just don't know any better.

Then its off too the alignment shop.

My Upholster said he was very impressed at how well these are made and fit.

Looks sharp! Mine will be an identical twin other than I am installing an OAI hood and SSI wheels. I still have a ways to go on mine though.

Tony I finally had a chance to go through your whole post on your restoration. You are one skilled guy and you've done an amazing job on the car. Your workmanship is first class. I've enjoyed our many discussions on cruise control which we both have in our 72's but now I'll be hitting you up for other stuff! Those Legendary seat covers look amazing. I think I'm going to order a set for my car. My dad bought the fabric from GM back in 1980 and a good shop made the seat covers but they are ready to replace. Plus the foam is very soft. How did you like their front door panels and how was the fit?

If you're talking about the 3M black double stick tape, you're going to have to trim it so it doesn't show through the letters. I was going to do this when I put the Cutlass scripts on mine, and speaking from experience it's not an easy job...very tedious and time consuming. I used the 3M clear trim adhesive and it was much easier, and it holds really well.
