Need help with accelerator problem

Hey guys I have a 1972 cutlass that will hesitate when pushing the gas pedal from a stopping point only. When I start to go I can hear the exhaust but give it a second then it wants to go or I push the gas pedal harder. I think it might need a new throttle cable but not sure. The carburetor was rebuilt and starts great in the cold weather and idles great when I’m running the AC so I don’t think it’s the carburetor. Could use some help thanks.

Your post is hard to understand. "will hesitate when pushing the gas pedal from a stopping point only. When I start to go I can hear the exhaust?? but give it a second then it wants to go or I push the gas pedal harder."
Do you mean when you are taking off from a stop you feel tip-in hesitation?
If you suspect a bad cable unhook it from one end and push pull it by hand. Feel smooth?
If yes then its a carb and/or an ignition adjustment.
