resto... single exhaust/hubcaps, etc.

Just wonderin if anyone had '71 or '72 Cutlass with single exhaust and hubcaps originally... did you put them back on?

I still have my original hubcaps.. the big ugly ones that stick out. I recall the sleeper sound with the single exhaust, small 14" tires that would burn light to light even with the 2.73's. Wondering how that same sleeper/grocery getter would be with 3.42 posi and higher compression pistons. I have never seen one with single exhaust though.

They're called wheel covers and I like them.
Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, plus everybody and their grandmother has rally wheels.
The coolest 442's to me have whitewalls with wheel covers and sit with a slight downhill rake to the rear.

I would of stayed with single exhaust but it was a bit restrictive, about 500 feet long with the crossover pipe and the resonator crossover in the back.
Higher compression and a 3.42 posi would make it faster off the line with twin burnout patches and get even worse gas mileage, higher octane fuel required.
