Hi guys, im new in this forum.
Im from the Netherlands (my english is not so well/good).
Recently i just bought my first Oldsmobile, im trying to work on the car as much as possible.
I dont know that much of the car, so if anyone can tell me more about the car, that would be really appreciative.

2 gastanks for propane in the trunk yeah there is much work on the body.
i have to weld much because there are no body parts here.

Im thinking to paint the car black after it. without a vinyl on the roof.

 

Not much to say. It is a hideous 1973 Olds Delta 88 royale coupe, just like my hideous convertible.

Looks like the Batmobile after a stay in a salt water marsh.

The sad part is that they can be made to drive pretty well, with larger swaybars (from an Impala station wagon with a towing package, probably), Bilstein shock absorbers, and a 1993-'98 Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box.

I definitely need new shock absorbers so thanks i will try to find them in Europe if possible.
At the moment there is alot of space between the steering wheel, any idea how to fix this problem? Or i need a new one?

 

Bilsteins for this car are: B46-1104 and B46-0929.

Do you mean that the steering has a lot of play ("Speil")?
If so, then you need to check all of your steering linkage, as well as your ball joints, and your steering box, to be sure that they are not worn.
All of the parts are available from aftermarket parts suppliers (RockAuto ships worldwide), and, as I said, a Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box, or equivalent, really does modernize the feel of the car (or at least changes it from "ocean liner" to "motor boat").

And that is per litre which makes it almost 7 bucks a gallon...... just passed a fuel station today price was 1.79 for regular that wont last.

Good to see you making progress. Eddie, the regular ****-water
price is $1.66 here at the HEB grocery store. I filled the 66 up
yesterday, 93 @ 1.96 at Stripes.

Nice, allready epoxy filler,not bad, was the Chrome bumbers to rusty to save the Chrome,? is thats why you paint them black? What color on the body you think to have? Some wide rims on this ride will fit great i think

 

the bumpers where to rusty so i painted them black yes . the body stays this color .

Yes i did, the car needed a lot of new sheet metal, i welded a lot . But i enjoyed every minute of it
