hi everyone I am looking for advice-info-help on a 69 455 i am putting together. It's taken me seven years to gather all I have today. I purchased a offy dual quad tunnel ram for my HO 69 455 which is completely stock right now with a eldebrock manifold and a holley 650. The engine right now is overcarbed with the holley but I am butting the 330 olds engine into the gmc that the 455 came out of. What do I need to do to the 455 for the quads to run well? Cam, lifters, crank? I am a chev builder and the 455 is new to me. I have read this forum for a couple of years now and everone is very knowLEDGEABLE. I look forward to hearing from you and I respect your opinions on this site. Thanks for the help.

I would put the smallest CFM carbs on there that I can find if you leave it relatively stock. You can run a stock lower end with a good cam and head messaging. Talk to some of the other guys running a 455 and see what there combo's are producing.
