Hey, I didn't put that wretched thing in there. Some other clown did.

Bet my 4300 pound car with a 110HP engine is faster than his 5200 pound car with a 140HP engine .

Can I race too? I'll bring my 4000 lb truck with its 183 cubic inches rated @ 150 HP. It does have a 4.88 rear (and front) end though!

With a truss nail plate thrown in there. Hope that's not a custom motor mount...

Doesn't "wedging" something in where it doesn't belong imply that you are putting something bigger into a space designed for something smaller?

I wouldn't consider putting a 307 in that boat "wedging" it in...more like into the black hole it goes to be lost in a sea of engine bay! lol!

she actually pulls pretty damn well all things considered,, sure surprised me i expected farrrr less from my hysterical lil $175 mini-rocket,, (of course, theres not a single smog component to be found on it, save a stuck egr valve,,,) this is obviously all but a temporary arrangement till i can git another 500 or 472 or sumthin,, i just gotta git back home ta junction after which point i shall commence my full body-off restoration,,

as if normal rubber mounts are any better, always dryin out an splitting, as ive encountered on plenty of cars,, and c'mon dont worry too much, i made sure ta git pressure treated!

look, i'm on an EXCEEDINGLY tight budget, money and time -wise,, the gate hinge straps were gonna be absolutely perfect restin right on the frame, but noooooo the drag link was gonna mash into the drip pan,, soo, i had ta boost the whole mess up a good few inches, and when ur FREAKING desperate, u employ unorthodox techniques,,,,,,,,

that damn caddyville has at last moved under her own power for the very first time in freakin years,, little progress is yet progress nonetheless,,
and incidentally, she actually is rather noisy and furious: no mufflers,,

hey i just put in a 307 in place of my hurt 350 by far the slowest engine that's been in my car. Should be fun though the goal is to drive it and take it to all the usual bop races in the area and see how fast we can get it . im in on the slow car race lol.

The Olds 307 found a comfortable home in full size rear drive Cadillacs from 86-90.

So,

All things aside,

How do you "spin" a bearing. I Plan on hopefully keeping my rocket alive as long as possible. If i keep putting good oil in and regular maintenance, Should last awhile?

EDIT: That timing chain as to last me at LEAST 100K miles

I think there is enough room for twin 307's in tandom, but I think you have to upgrade to 4x4 mounts. Thumbs up for making it happen.
