My new 1970 w30

Should arrive here in the next week. Found it hiding in a yard along with 5 other Oldsmobiles. I purchased the W30 with broadcast card and Owner history. Actually car has been owned by same guy since 82. and also purchased a 1970 Cutlass S 4 speed. Should have enough parts between the two and my private stock to do a frame off. FYI Its a 4 speed. Thanks God

Nicely done. Getting the car history and broadcast card is a real bonus. Looks like you'll have your work cut out for you, but the results should be worth it. Did you also get the original motor and tranny, and W25 hood with the car?

Document EVERYTHING with pics. Before and after. Make sure to post the project in the major builds section so we can follow along?

I know the feeling. This was a blessing to find this car. Also white with gold stripes is the exact color combo I would have ordered if I had the chance in 1970. This will be a long resto but at least its one of my dream cars behind 69 hurst olds and 66 w30.

I have found many Olds cars in back yards but this is the first w30. I never ever expected to find this car rotting away under a tree these days. Some peep just dont care. I just cant wait to get her hoe in my garage to slow down the rotting process.

Well I have as well but the backyard cars have been over the last 25 years. Much easier to find them 20 years ago. Now im lucky if I find one once a year or every couple of years.

Found my w30 last year at a metal recycling salvage yard. Saved it from the crusher. No kidding , the w30 emblems were missing but when i saw the red fender wells my heart skipped a beat. Complete car except the -o58 carb. Great find on yours, with the broadcast card and all ; found mine in the rotten drivers side seat back all intact. Happy for you and know the feeling. Yours looks better than mine though.
