Firewall Replacement

I am considering replacing the firewall on my 68 442 convertible. Before I do I'm looking for hopefully some opinions on the fit of the replacement panels available and the best way to brace the body before removing the original firewall.
Thanks,
Eric

Right there with you

I have a 68 conv. Posted under wanting to post as I go. Going been slow. I have to replace lower part of firewall where tunnel starts. Complete floor pan and trunk pan. The amount you have to cut out at one time will be biggest factor in how U need to brace it. Mine will be off frame when I do it but not cutting rockers or floor supports so I am just building brace from door hindge to door stricker. Would make brace to go across from body mounts on bottom top should be ok depending on how much you are cutting out. There are prob others on here may have better ideas that have don't it before. This will be my first cut out and replace so taking it slow. I was lucky enough to be able to cut donor car apart from firewall to taillights for my replacement so have correct factory metal. Any aftermarket metal I would used AMD.
