Firewall Insulation Pad

Hello,
I purchased a OPG brand insulation pad for my 67 442 from Summit. Of course it came with the cheezy plastic fasteners. When I tried to install it all of the holes were off to the right by 1 1/4". Has anyone experienced this. Any advice on who makes the best one would be appreciated. I plan on purchasing the correct rubber fasteners from the Parts Group. Thanks.

What if you were to take the 1 1/4 of the left side so everything shifts over the amount its out ? Then use what you removed to blend into the other side would that work?

Bad time of the year to recommend, but I installed mine last summer. Purchased it for Legendary Auto Interiors. They recommended letting it sit out in the sun for a couple of hours. Before that my holes didn't line up either.

Another tip for installing those plastic fasteners...use a 5/16 bolt (I think) with a nut and washer. Thread the nut/washer to allow the bolt to press into the center of the clip w/o pushing through. Tap w/ a hammer. Be sure to only let the tip of the fastener push through.
