I know it sounds weird but I love seeing photos of old original paint that's sunburnt and sandblasted. These pics are a perfect example. I also find it somewhat amusing that red oxide seems to be the only primer color used regardless of the paint color.

I agree. Definitely worth documenting. There are shops that would love to get ahold of pics like that for rat rods. I've seen it done on How to vids, but it never turns out quite like the real thing
