I had a 94 Z71 which I converted to an Olds 350 You need 403 Trans Am motor mounts.

You also need a transmission adapter.

Larry Lorton's adapter brackets with a 82 to 85 Olds Olds 4.3 V6 diesel water pump. Unfortunately, the water pump is in short supply right now. The 454 TBI will work OK. The factory 454 Qjet to TBI adapter makes mounting the TBI easy. An Olds CCC 307 7 pin module distributor will control timing, same wire colours, except one extra black wire, which is ground.

Thanks , Good Info. my truck has a diesel engine so all that goes away.
I'm wondering the the torque converter with need to be calibrated for a gas engine. I planned on ditching all the diesel stuff and using a low pressure fuel pump and carburetor

Yeah, it will be very low stall, probably 1200 rpm. Even the converter flashed around 1500 in the 4L60E in my 94 Z71. Basically match the converter to the cam in the 425. The Olds makes a better truck engine than a sbc or LS.
