Anyone know if this will work?

Any thoughts & input please.

I have a crazy idea. There is a 2002 Alero Coupe 5 speed Manual for sale in my area. It has the 2.2L EcoTech 4cyl.

Does anyone have any knowledge if I would be able to directly swap in the 2.0L Turbo EcoTech from a 2007/2008 Saturn Sky Redline?

I think the blocks are the same so it should bolt to the gearbox and cradle directly. But I think I would most likely need the harness, ecu,bcm ect as well. Just unsure how much modification will be needed as I have enough projects and would like to keep this a quick, lower budget one.

That Sky motor has impressive specs ...

2nd choice motor would be the 2.0L Supercharged from the Saturn Ion Redline

I thought this would make a great daily driver with ton of power, good MPG and it's an OLDSMOBILE

Although not much into the wrong-wheel drive cars, I do know that different years designate different wiring, computers, cats, and fuel systems!
Unless you've extensive knowledge and both cars side-by-side, it's a nightmare!

The biggest potential problem is the FWD vs RWD configurations. The blocks may be the same, but the accessory brackets almost certainly are not. I don't know if you can swap the FWD brackets onto the turbo motor and still clear. Consider instead the turbo motor from the HHR SS. Same 260 HP, same Ecotec block, but configured for FWD. Of course, good luck finding one used...
