'70 Vista Cruiser Project
#641
Hi Greg, the best way is if you can get some piano wire or high test fishing line behind the glass. Remove the moldings first of course! Then just slide it back and forth so to cut the butel (sp) holding the glass in. If it is rotted enough on the pinch weld, you may be able to gently but firmly push the glass out!

I almost don't dare go there because I was hoping it would be ok, but did they take the roof glass out? I am dealing with the Vista Roof rust on mine and it's a huge job. The only Vista I've seen that doesn't have any, is the other big restoration project on this site that started out with a virtually rust free Sacramento, CA car. I tell you, I got jealous more than once :-)
If that's what's been setting you back, I hope you find your second wind! You've come too far...
(P.S. For me, the picture links starting on page 14 don't work. All the earlier pictures are still on the site)...

I have tried to get a hold of Erik a few years back- sent PM's etc- no luck. I saw what I believe was his name ( Erik Turner) as a representative for a body shop supply or automotive paint company- seems like in one of the Hemmings mags..... He sure did good work on this car!
