69 Conv EFI Post Pump Filter Location

I am installing the fuel system for my EFI build and am using an Aeromotive tank with the pump in the tank. I have to find a good location for the post pump filter and could use some recommendations. the body is not on the car and I am thinking along the frame rail mid way but don’t know if it will hit the body. I put green tape where I am thinking of mounting.

Anyone have pictures of how they did their. The filter is a Holley 10 micron filter.

Any help is appreciated

Body was on the car when i did mine, so I ended up putting it up on the trunk floor wall above and behind the rear axle. Where you've got it marked should be fine, I'd just make sure it doesn't protrude much beyond the top of the frame rail. That'll give you plenty of clearance to the body.

I ended up mounting it here so ease of access and no issues with body clearance. Lowered the body down and zero interference. Got lucky i reckon cause i didn’t measure.

I mounted a Holley #162-550 10 micron filter on the passenger side frame rail in the engine compartment, just ahead of the idler arm. I'll snap a pic for you this afternoon and post it here.
Rodney.

Here's a pic.

Find a fuel filter on an new car. They don't exist anymore. With the filtering capability of the "sock" and better gas and tanks, the OEM mindset is that they are not needed anymore. With that said, I mounted mine on the front inner fenderwell. To keep all the noise from the pump down you want everything isolated and the plastic wheel well is a great isolater and easy to service. I wouldn't lose sleep if you didn't use a filter as your tank and line are all brand new, so they are generating contaminates.
