68 Cutlass S Convertible Vent Windows

I have been told that the vent window and frame from a 2 door is the same for the convertible as the doors are the same. Is this true?

Thx,

Howie

No. The top (where it meets the roof) of the chromed potmetal piece is different between hardtop & convertible.

IIRC, there's a U shaped cutout/channel on the convertible one that's not on the HT version.

Tom,
I think he means the actual glass & the stainless piece that wraps around it, not the complete outer frame?

I think he must because the whole pot metal frame difference was in this thread:

The vent windows and frames do interchange. Obviously a post vent window & frame does not

Ah. OK.
I didn't see the other thread. I saw 'frame' and thought of the whole assy. Just didn't want someone to end up with the wrong pieces....

Going to pull parts today

A guy here has about 80, 68-70 olds in his storage area. They are stacked on each other and the convertibles are hard to get into. I have to look at the vent window I already pulled as I believe it was from a 2 dr hard top. Same door but different where it touches conv top.
I do need the entire (LH RH) vent window and window track assy.
