So the idea is to build up the engine(stroker)fuel injection, etc.Shave off the door handles, remove all the trim and badging.New tubular suspension, new interior ,power windows and whatever makes my boat float along the way.

Start with remote doors. Not all that complicated.Tougher making the patches for the door handles.

Had problems in the past with it running hot so went with a 2 row aluminum radiator and an electric fan with a custom made shroud

Had a case of the MAW's and took the badges off.People come up to me at shows and look right at Oldsmobile or Cutlass and proceed to tell me they had a Buick just like this.So they really don't mean anything any how

Shot some panels with some color, and bought a hood mounted tach.I know it's not correct for this car but5 IMO Buick and Pontiac had the right idea with this.

Yeah,I like the old school look of the gauges outside the car.You certainly don't have to search for them when they are right in your line of sight.

Just a little update.I cleared the roof and rear half of the car. Then I wet sanded it with 800 grit and put on 3 over reduced coats of clear for a flo coat.More work now ,but less work later,(1 run on pass sale panel.)The reason for painting in stages is I don't have a spray booth and I have found that this works better as I don't have that big of a cloud in the garage.Decided to put on the quarter extensions and tail lights to see how it looks.I have to say Pauls Chrome in Pa.does great work. The bezels were loaded with holes and had no plating left on them and now they look better than new.Too bad I can't get the center panel to look that good, but because of the texture on it ,no one will touch it.

I feel that if it's your car and it wasn't pure when you got it then make it yours. Some people don't agree with what I do to my cars, but you don't drive it or pay for it so don't worry about it.I have been told it is a POS because it is chevy powered.Know what?It runs like a bat out of hell and didn't cost me a fortune to get it that way so I can spend my hard earned money on some other part of it.Just my opinion.

Guys I'm a little "old school" still can't put a "chebby motor" in an Olds. Great project in the works. FYI-U may have figured out already that the chrome trim strip running down the side of the car U removed has some value since there is not alot to go around. Robski

Nice job looking good. One day my neighbor stopped by and wanted me to sign a waver to build a shed in his backyard and I said to him as far as I am concerned it's your property you can do whatever you would like.

Well this is what got accomplished today.Got the hood and trunk lid on,glass man put in the windshield and rear window.I put the reveal moldings on the windshield, then when I unwrapped the set for the rear window I found out that the place I sent them to to polish them lost the one for the drivers side. Now I will have to order the entire set from OPGI for $165 and then have the one piece I need polished to match the rest.So much for the Olds show in Ct this sunday.Last picture...................lights out for today.
