Do you still have the stock Slim Jim trans? If so you may want to write an article with lots of pictures on your linkage mods, I'll bet that would interest a lot of 61 to 64 owners!

wow nice!!! i remember my dad had a 62 98 4 door it was a beast. I took my driving test in it, had to parellel park that thing.... man it was long!! eventually it developed some tranny problem. When i hammered it, it would wind up to around 4-5000 rpms then grab!!! I thought it was so cool. i beat some nice cars because of that tranny. that 394 ran strong. It was like a "ROCKET" PUN INTENDED. LOL

Im not sure if this is the correct place to say this, but about 5 years ago i lived in Fresno, Ca. Not far from there, Mariposa, Ca. is a wrecking yard that started in the 40's i believe. Long story short, the old man died, his daughter CRUSHED so many nice cars!!!! for scrap prices!!! She had at that time a 1962 88, and a 98 both restorable. She planned to crush them too, but someone talked some since into her i think. One day she told me to mark the car i wanted so it didnt get crushed. So i walked around the yard and wrote SAVE on all the cars i thought should be saved. Dont know now if she still has them but i have her number if anyone is interested. I think both the 88, and 98 had the motors and were complete cars if my memory is correct. I would have bought them if i was staying there but i moved back to Texas. I think 2-300 would have bought them. Again i have her name and number.
