1987 cutlass front suspension rebuilt and ?
Well I just finished almost totally rebuilding the front suspension on my '87.
here's what i did
replaced f41 front sway bar with small dia. one (lighter weight)
New energy suspension sway bar bushings, bump stops and end links
new inner/outer tie rods and sleeves
new upper and lower ball joints
newpitman, center link and idler arm
newmoog coil springs
new qa1 adj. front stocker star shocks
new power steering pump, pulley, and lines
Replaced stock "rag joint" intermittent steering shaft with a new one from a jeep cherokee (smaller dia. and has no rag joint)
new inner and outer wheel bearings.
I was gonna replace the control arm bushings but I decided to wait. I have been tossing around the idea of replace the stock control arms (upper and lower) with a set of tubular models. Does anyone have experience with these? How are they cornering and normal road driving compared to stock controll arms?

If you put a smaller sway bar on your car to save weight then you might consider putting the tubular arms on for the same reason. Truthfully, I was suprised when you mentioned that you put the smaller diameter sway bar on your car. Usually people go the opposite direction. With a smaller diameter sway bar you will probably get more body roll. If it were my car, I would keep the stock control arms (there are better ways to save weight).
