1978 Cutlass Supreme

I bought this car about 2 yrs ago it sat for 6months I was in process of buying a house. It was in the paper clean body trim all there a lil dent in the left fender and a blown 260 I made some progress but let me start at the beginnnig.These were taking 2yrs ago when i first looked at it and towed it home.

removed the boat anchor 260 i removed the engine before i bought my house so i had to hurry before it got dark out

Had a 78 Cutlass Calais. Looks very similar outside except for the grills. Mine had the 305 in it and was a decent little performer. Now that you've got the 260 out, what are your plans? A 350 would be a nice motor to put in. Don't know if the motor mounts are interchangeable though.

used some of that eastwood chassis paint stuff i thought it worked well picked up some replacement parts wheel bearings,rotors etc.

during this time i sent out my rotors dust shields and spindels out for powercoated i forgot to send the calipers but when almost complete ill do that

Yes the mounts in the car will work with the 455 he has. I would buy new rubber mounts. If you want to keep the A/C then you will need the brackets, pulleys, and water pump for the 260 to go on the 455.

To get the th400 to work you will need frame extensions and the crossmember from a G body with a 200r4. Then get your driveshaft made to right length.
