Does anyone know where I can get a drivers side tail light for my recently purchased 1978 olds cutlass supreme? The tail lights where both good 3 days ago when I purchased the car, but my precious 5 year old daughter accidently busted the tail light while riding her bike. She was so upset and crying that I couldn't get mad at her, just give her a hug and tell her to not worry about it. Now , I'm finding out they seem to be extremely hard to find. The 1978 has the olds rocket emblem in the middle that 'lights up' when you apply the brakes. If anybody has any info on where I might have luck finding parts for my car please let me know, any info will be greatly appreciated. THANKS !!!

Ebay has some regularly. You actually should find one pretty easy! Try finding one for a 78 Salon!!!! One of the local yards around here has a couple 78-9-80 bodys. If you don't find one, PM me and I'll check to see if he's got one and price. His place is about 40 minutes away but I do try to go once a month to see what he's drug in! Just wanted to thank everybody for the info. I checked on ebay, but I didn't see any, yet. I'll try to check a couple of local junkyards on my next saturday off. I also need to locate the drivers side back up light lens (it was broke when I purchased the car) Really looking forward to fixing this car up, I had a 79 Cutlass Coupe with T-tops when I was younger, hated to sell but I couldn't afford to fix up and didn't want it to go to waste. THANKS AGAIN, FELLAS !!!

 

I think I have all of these parts. I know I have the reverse light. I'll have to check on the tailight.
Do you need the whole housing, or just the lense and bezel?

Thanks for responding. I just need the lens and bezel, the housing survived. When you find out just let me know ( how much $ ? ), I'm not going to have a chance to check around here anytime soon, I'm scheduled to work the next 3 saturdays. THANKS AGAIN !!!
