You may check Wizard Cooling too. I'm quite happy with mine, the fans, shroud, and built in overflow tank. They are great to work with and this setup keeps my high HP big block cool.

Back to Work!

Folks:

Been almost two years since I last worked and posted an update on my car. Had to stay in Florida to rebuild our home that was flooded by hurricane Helene and Milton back in September 2024. Took over a year but moved back in October 2025. Turned out better than before so we are blessed.

Repaired and installed the original firewall insulation. Had bought aftermarket but was just not happy with the fit. The original had all the contours in the correct places and fit like a glove! Also added insulation under the dash. Quite a pain but came out great.

Also, engineered rear quarter glass stops for the electric windows. The manual window stops had to be removed to accommodate the motors. Installed a through bolt between the track and a piece of metal stock bolted across the opening and done! Used a piece of fuel line as a cushion/dampener. Works like a champ.

The big news is the dash is back in the car! Definitely a two person job but went in quite easily and looks fantastic! Getting very excited about the progress!

Carpet

Hello folks:

Went to work on the carpet installation. Unlike others who were able to use their old carpet as a guide for making cutting decisions, my old carpet was not original and was pretty much a butcher job installation. So, I had to set the new carpet in place, use the seat brackets as reference and make the appropriate cuts. Taking your time and measuring many times is the key to success! I used tin snips to cut the carpet and the mat behind it. Also used chalk to make marks. My advice is to test fit everything be for making any cuts. I had bought new windlace but didn’t like the fit so I installed the original which fit perfectly. Also put the sill plates in place to make sure the carpet was covered well. Placed the console in place before making cuts for the shifter. Got the back seat carpet set and will work on the front tomorrow. Just love the blue colors.

Jim
