It's almost done!

Well it has been a long time since I posted anything but have been working steadily on the car. Restored the grilles. They look great. I got the motor running. Of course I had to deal with wiring to the starter. then when putting fluids in Leaky water pump!

It seems like I had to do multiple things twice

I have spent the last couple of weeks getting the interior put back together. Looks very nice and love the restored seats. They sit nice!

I just finished getting the front bumper and grilles on. Rewarding! and today finally got the wiring problem with the alternator figured out

Finally got all the chrome on the wheels!
Looks great! Can't wait to get the vinyl top installed next week!

Looks very very nice. I like the detailing on it. I had the same kind of problems as you. Alternator wasnt working and a bunch of things refused to return to life. Putting stuff back on without cleaning and detailing it just looks tacky. I actually drove my car about 30 miles last weekend. first time in over 20 years. Went to a car show and was persuaded to enter even though my car wasnt really clean, or detailed, I won a plaque. I hate car shows though. Some homo was looking at my car, not knowing i was the owner and made the comment"Very nice car but he ruined it with that motor" I thought about it and the only thing I can think of is with the big fabricated aluminum valve covers, this chump figured it was a big block chibbie. I am going to hopefully take some decent pix of it this weekend and post em.

Thanks guys! It has been a labor of love! Cars have taught me patience over the past 25 years. This one has come together quickly but not without its little issues. I am looking forward to getting it on the road!

Hark442 You did a great job!!!! I see you have the 70 only outside rearview mirrors too. It looks fabulous, attention to details really make that car a winner. Enjoy.
