The fuel system is a spectra repro tank, repro sending unit with no sock, RobbMc 550 HP pump. I am running the return line to keep fuel pressure down at idle.

Pure stock drags report... had a great weekend at the two-day event, it's always a blast, just an awesome group of people and incredible cars. Friday morning featured substantial rain, so we ended up only having four hours of racing in the late afternoon, then some warm up runs and the shootouts on Saturday.

My best pass of the weekend was the first one Friday - 12.80@104.9 with a 1.88 60 ft. I knew traction would be an issue, so I had a full tank of gas and 100 lb of extra weight in the trunk. I tried to get the car faster all weekend without success... we had a nasty headwind Friday (15 mph with 20-25 mph gusts), and the track conditions were marginal at best. I have a lot to learn tuning the car for this event - conventional performance tuning methods don't always work. Thanks to several other racers that have shared their experience and knowledge, I have quite a few ideas to make the car quicker.

I got to take pics with Chris' (junior supercar) W-31 as well, freshly debuted after restoration. It's absolutely beautiful.

For eliminations, I was paired against a beautiful '72 Trans Am, 455 HO, 4 speed car. I qualified 12.80, he at 12.82. We were both running slower on Saturday (12.9-13.0). I won the first two races on holeshots - had a 0.001 reaction then an 0.043. He spun as well, driving a 4 speed car on this track takes a mountain of skill.


I'll post some more photos/videos once I sort everything out. I'm hoping to get out to the track one more time this year, but we'll see if it happens. It's fun to have a car that you can reliably beat on at the track, then my wife drove it to work today since it was a nice day out.

Thanks for posting. I saw The Azure blue on FB first, it looks great in person. I introduced myself to Ryan Weaver, what a mellow guy. He did pretty well for a first timer. According to his FB post, he is hooked. Wish I had the funds to restore my W31, but it won't happen.
