1966 F85 Restoration While Driving

Hello, all. Been mildly inactive as of late, but I am finally getting around to doing some work on my F85, so I thought I'd start up one of these. Nothing too overly exciting right now, I'm replacing the bellhousing, flywheel, starter, headers, and a few other things. Some of it's things that came with the car, as they needed done (bellhousing had a touch of damage and was out of concentricity) I'm not too far along, and I've hit a bit of a rut as I wait for a couple tools and some parts, but here's what I've got so far. It's basically yanking the engine, and getting some paint (primer and base, then color) on the water pump as I wait on an engine stand to really dig into it. I'll be sure to keep this updated, though.

Wow, who would have thought? I thought texting while driving was bad enough!

What do you do? Keep one had on the wheel and the other on the paint sprayer as you're speeding down the highway?

I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering how the wind affects his spray pattern...

Thought this would make driving even more interesting And no, I have the can taped to the a-pillar with a tube into the engine compartment. I need both hands, since it's a stick lol

It's got a strong 350 in it now so I'm not looking but if still had the six I'd prolly have a turbo on it, just something different.

Fair enough. And, I want to stick a turbo on this one, but that's a ways down the road.....

I thought about trying to find a Pontiac sohc 6 to turbo or an atlas straight six(trailblazer engine) for mine but again, I already put the 350 in.
