1959 Olds Super 88 (Inherited Beauty) – 12,685 Original Miles

Hi folks. This thread moving from original newbie section to here at the request/suggestion of others on here. Back Story: This is my new ride that I have just acquired. Purchased by my Great Grandfather in March 1959 out of Arlington, TX, given to my Grandfather, and my Dad and Son helped me get her loaded up on the trailer this past weekend. The last evidence of her seeing the light of day are the license plates that are tagged with the year 1974. She’s been in hiding in my Grandparents garage for the past 43 years.

Good to see this car back at daylights. I got a dynamic 88 of the same year and it's a great ride.
Let us know about your progress.
Regards from germany

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Okay one of the first things I have to do is get wheels and tires on this thing in order to get it off the trailer. The original wheels are not holding air and I suspect pitting in them which releases the air because I have new tires on them. I will get the otiginals restored and get correct tires on them for the future, but I think I want to get a little more updated look on it and go with a Cragar style will and new tires and be able to swap them out as I wish. My problem is finding the correct fitment. I believe is it a 5 by 5 inch bolt pattern or 5 by 127 mm. Can anyone let me know if that is correct and also will a 15 by 8 inch wheel all the way around have any issues with fitting and or turning?
