1950 Olds Tudor Sedan project

In High School long long ago, I had a 49 Olds coupe. Several years ago while walking the dog on the local trail, a guy was loading a 50 Tudor sedan on a trailer he had bought in Arizona. (pardon the Ford lingo---I have built several Fords over the years). I had seen the car before under a tarp and it looked good. Asked him where he was taking the car and he said it was going to a swap meet to be sold, and yes it ran. I said what are you going to ask for the old car. He gave me a figure and I acted surprised and asked if he really expected to get that kind of money. He said he would take anything above about half the initial number. I suggested he unload the car while I run to the bank to get the money and save him a trip to the swap meet. I drove the car home and this is the picture I took of the car when I got it home. Talk about impulse buying. More to follow.

GREAT FIND! and my favorite Oldsmobile 49-50 coupe. In high school, light years ago, a couple of brothers had the exact same car right down to the color. Of course being in high school it had dual exhausts and I believe an aftermarket 4bbl carb. The car was about 7 years old at that time. They were the envy of all the true and wannabe gear heads. The Rocket 303 was a big, powerful engine in those days surpassed only by the Cadillac.

@ billmerbach---That's kinda like asking a rancher how many cows he has. Lets just say a really good deal. I had seen the car on the trail and did some price research prior to seeing the car going on the trailer.
