1936 Oldsmobile Street Rod

So the paint is finally going on (3rd time to get it right), but I figured I'd add some pics to show the history of it.

As it was sitting partially done for ~15 years

Back to metal

Prefit all the pieces

New front end that was not 20 year old technology

EFI, Good bye Carb!

Attention grabbing color - Randy Apple Red III

Now that's a sexy pic!

You may have just picked the color for my 1967 CS Holiday Coupe. Nice looking car!

Get the hell out of here. What an awesome car. True candy red (I am familiar) will bring so many comments. You will love it. Looks like it was shot right too. Awesome. I will be watching this thread. Thanks for the share.

Damnit!!! Beautiful. Excellent choice on that color on that car. Has to be the sexiest 36 out there. Gorgeous even. Thanks for the updates.

Amazing color! Absolutely gorgeous!

We have a club member who is the original owner of a 1936 sedan! He is a young 101 and still drives! His car is all stock though.

I would love to paint a candy color, but to nervous and do not have a quality gun. I'm afraid of zebra striping the car.

Almost there!

Well, it is almost done. All the glass has now been put in since I took this picture. Last automotive change is to add 2" wheel spacers in the back so it doesn't look so malnourished and then off for the interior! And I need to replace the $0.12 oil filler cap!!! LOL

I love the 101 year old man with his original 36! Hopefully he has grand kids that will keep the legacy continue.

That's a gorgeous car. I just bought a 36 olds 3 window coupe. on the front suspension, did you graft a whole assembly on to the front part of the frame, or is that an individual crossmember assembly welded to the original frame. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks'
Jim

Jim,

It's welded right onto the original frame. I have attached a couple of pictures. I hope it helps.
