Interchangeable '68-'70 Convertible Cutlass?

I have a '70 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. However, I hate the button interior and want to put in something more like the '68. My question, would a seat upholstery kit for a '68 convertible fit a '70 convertible without modification? I think the bucket seats are exactly the same but what about the rear convertible seat? Are they the same for '68 & '70? Thanks for any help!

The rear conv. seat is the same 68-72. In terms of "upholstery" the buckets are the same also. Aside from headrests and locking Mech. which should not affect what you are trying to do.

I used a rear seat out of 68 cutlass convertible in my 70. I also did not care for the buttons on the 70 style upholstery so I went with the 71-72 style. Its very similar to the 70 style and the color matched my door panels.

Thanks, guys. I thought they were the same but wasn't sure. One more question . . . What about the interior door panels? I'm sure the rear panels in a '70 convertible are a different size than the '68-'69 but what about the front door panels? Will '68-'69 just swap right out with the '70?

What color interior do you have? I used the 70 door panels because the wood grain matched the wood grain on my dash and the pearl white color matched the the pearl white 71-72 seat covers.

Black interior. I actually hate the woodgrain which is why I'm going for more of the '68-'69 look. I'm having the woodgrain inserts from the dash and console stripped and painted the same color as the car for a custom look. My thought was that if the door panels are interchangeable, I can simply purchase pre-assembled front door panels to swap out and then only need to have the rear panels custom made (different size and dimension in '70 so '68-'69 will definitely not just be a simple swap).

You would have to use a '69 panel because the door lock hole is in a different position from '68.
