Steering wheel cover??

I just bought a original, somewhat rough steering wheel to match my mostly rough 70 Vista Beater from Oldspackrat. ( thanks Scott). Anyway I like the feel of the newer thicker wheels and this wheel has cracks around it so I am looking at getting a leather or vinyl cover. I always liked the feel of the leather covers with the stitching on the inside but it seems most those covers I've found are for the thicker/smaller diameter newer wheels. In some way I sort of like the old vinyl/plastic like covers with the lace that wraps around and around the wheel. They were kind of 80's disco like/cheesy which might fit this old bomb perfectly. Any of you guys bought a wheel cover for your older cars? What would you recommend? Thanks, Greg

They may have it at a parts store near you. Just make sure it's for your diameter of steering wheel.

I used of these on my Plymouth for the same reason you described:
