1965 cutlass power seats....
1965 cutlass power seats....
so im not sure if these came with power seats or if the person before me attempted to upgrade them.. but none the less they dont work, and to save my self a big pain in the a** i would like to revert/convert them to manual seats... but im not sure exactly what that style of seat is called, or where to get the parts. if someone can point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it. thanks
Since you said seats it sounds like you've got buckets vs bench seat, correct? They did make power seats and if those are orignial you should have no trouble selling them. I'm sure you can replace them with seat rails from 1964-65 GM A-body cars, I don't know if other years will interchange. I'd encourage you to create a parts wanted thread here and if you don't get a response soon start watching ebay. I'm not sure if they're being reproduced, but believe you should be able to find a nice set of used ones that would work. You may have to change the floor mounts... I know the 1968-72 Cutlass/442 had additional bolts/studs to mount the power unit. I don't know about 1965 though, so that's something you should check before getting too deep into the swap.
If you have the seats out of the car can you post some pictures? There may be someone here that can identify the power seat unit by viewing the photos.
