Roof drip rail weatherstripping

Well, I put it off for the past 2 years since paint because I thought it would be a royal pain in the a$$. Well to my surprise the old ones came out in about 5 mins ea, and had both sides done in under 2 hours!! Used a minimal amount of weatherstrip cement! Who'd a thunk it!

The last frontier would be the vent window seals, I bet they are a PIA! I have not ordered them yet.

Good to hear. Prolly a lot less wind whistle now. Did you also do the 1/4 glass rubber? Oh, FWIW I just found a glass site that sells vent windows for 66-72 A bodies if you break any. You going with Steel Rubber for the vent window seals?

Not too familiar with the 66/67 roof rails. They glued into a metal channel that's screwed to the roofline? Reason I ask is I took some out of a 72 Cutlass S I was helping part out. But then again we needed the metal channel to transfer to another car, so the inside windlass also had to come out.

Yeah the channel is screw'd on and weather strip basically snaps in. I'll let you know how the wind noise is come winter. The windows stay down here in Texas, especially with my variable speed A/C.

Ah hahahaha! Best description I heard yet! I got that system too!

FWIW, I found the weather seals on the 1/4 glass had the most noise. Comes from getting dried out and inflexible (kinda like some wimmen I know )

I plead the 5th on that one! Mine are dried out and cracked, maybe someday!
