Buckets in an E body

Hi,
Thinking of picking up a set of stratobuckets for my toro. I think these were used in A bodies? Can anybody post a photo of the interior pan to show me what the mounting points look like?
Thanks!

Bucket seats were pretty rare in Toronados so it may be hard to find someone with the factory buckets who has a picture of his floor pan with the buckets out. What I would do is use the bench seat adjusting rail locations for the outboard bucket seat track. Then weld in the needed mounting location near the center of the floorboard so it matched the outside ones. The stratobench has the same shape on the ends as the buckets so I think this would work. John

P.S. Yes, these seats are the same ones used in A-bodies as well as B-bodies. The only differences were the adjusting rails as the floorpans have different shapes between the car lines.

No, I did not expect that any of the 51 examples of stratobucket toros would show up or be willing to take out their buckets.
I was looking for photos of how the buckets mount on the other platforms; A, B an so forth.
Thanx,

Sorry, I didn't understand what you were asking for. Here's some pictures of the factory bucket seat mounts from a 1968 A-body. The strap for the inboard adjusting rail is being reproduced and can be purchase at a reasonable price. On your car you may need to fabricate something to fit the floorpan shape to the brackets. Let me know if you have any other questions after viewing the photos. John

Thanks! I'm not sure how the factory did it, but there is a fair sized hump that runs across under the bench seat that is where the back end of the torsion bars mount. I may have to machine up some blocks to raise the outboard mounting points so the seats will sit level.
Thanks for posting the photos, this helps a lot to see how the seat hardware is mounted.

Glad I could help! I'd forgotten about the hump for the torsion bar, but the factory did it somehow. I looked at a bucket seat Toro a few years ago and almost bought it. It would be cool to have one of those with buckets and that short console! John
