heater floor outlet

For my 67 442 I am looking for info on the heater floor outlet. There are 2 used, one for bench seat cars #9773829 and one for bucket seat cars #589327. I have yet to see the one for bucket seat. I have owned 2 bucket seat cars and know of an original one owner triple yellow bucket seat car and all of them have the one for bench seat. Did the factory just install what they had? I converted my present 442 to buckets and would of liked to install the correct one. Not that I use the heater all that much, but thought it would be an easy swap. Unable to find it even with a google search. Anybody seen both types?

The same part numbers were used in 64-67.
My 65 Cutlass has buckets seats but in has the non bucket seat outlet. #9773829
I was wondering why also.

Maybe drilling that extra hole was too much trouble for the assembly line. That being said you would think there should be an abundant supply of the bucket seat type.
