Seems like such a silly question- if I bought new door lock pulls (the chrome things that look like a golf tee), do those old ones twist/screw off - if I pull it off, am I going to have to open the door panel to install the new one?

 

They're threaded, and screw/unscrew. No, you do not have to remove the door panel to install the new ones.
