Was doing some disassembly / cleaning on my 1970 442 and examined the outer front seat belts and how they are attached to the body.
This is a different setup then I have seen used on 71 and 72 cars. The setup in my car has a clip that attaches to the body that allows for the seat belt mechanism to be removed. On the 71 and 72 cars the attachment point is built into the seat belt mechanism. When did Olds switch or did they use both styles?
Also was surprised to see that the bracket was painted an olive green paint.
Attached some pictures for anyone looking to correctly detail these parts.
