Minimizing Interior Noises

While I dont expect the quietness of a new car from a car that is 50+ years old, I am wondering if members on here have any tips or tricks they use to minimize noises/creaks/rattles on their car interiors. I have used silicone/gasket type sealers in the past on various cars in addition to padding under the carpet to minimize outdoor noise.

The most interesting rattle that I am now encountering is the dash chrome on a 1965 F85. While the dash itself has no noises/rattles, the chrome fasica seems to crackle and rattle randomly.
