dash cap census

Hello everyone, has anyone installed a dash cap on there car. I don't have the money right now to get a new dash pad and was thinking about installing a dash cap right now instead. I know its not the same but i am wondering if they are half way decent fitting/looking? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks neveridle

I've seen a few at the car shows and they looked very nice.

They look like cheap hard plastic covers. I'd use one on a daily driver but not on a car I cared about.

The only one I'd put is a **** rug style with a chain steering wheel and a bobble headliner. If I'm going, I'm going all the way.

Everyone said how dangerous Indian Larry's welded chain motorcycle frame was ... wasn't that that killed him. I was being factious ... throwing back to the old Cheech and Chong look that we all thought was so cool 40+ years ago.

In other words you were being argumentative, disagreeing, disputatious and quarrelsome, kind of what I thought, or maybe you meant facetious, either way ....... No help

Now that there is funny.

I've have yet to see a dash topper that I think would work really well in an older car but some are better than others. I almost bit the bullet on one for my 04 suburban but I nice coat of $16 SEM interior paint would do the same thing

I used one on a driver mustang i had it wasnt expensive (compared to a new or refurbished dash) and looked a ton better than the ripped pad that was there, but i semi close inspection would tell you it was a cover !!

Place a parts wanted ad and see if anyone has a pad pulled from a parts car.
