4 speed console repair
68 442, My console is cracked in a few places, the whole thing seems very brittle. Also there is a piece missing on the passenger side that needs to be filled in.
Any one out there with repair info, products used etc...

I did mine myself. It's difficult but not impossible to replicate the grain finish. I used JB Weld and etched the grain into it. CPVC-ABS glue works well on cracks. I fixed all the cracks and then reinforced the back with fiberglass. I fabricated missing parts from a junk consoles. If you hit the plastic quick with a torch it's very pliable and can be shaped.
