Wires from seat belt reels and under passenger seat question.
I installed sound deadener and new carpet in my 1972 Cutlass 442 with bucket seats. There are wires (one yellow and one white, I believe) coming off the wiring harness and it splits off and one goes to each seatbelt reels by each door and one connects to the passenger side bucket seat but none to the driver's side bucket. What are these for? I can't remember if they were connected to the seatbelt reels and the passenger seat when I took it apart 20 plus years ago. I assume that they may be for the seatbelt buzzer but I'm just assuming. I am leaving them in the car just in case the next owner would want to do a detailed restoration. My question is, would it be OK to just leave the connectors unplugged and just tuck them under the carpet.
I know back in the day, somewhere about 1972, they added seatbelt buzzers and everyone (including me) hated it! I bought a new Chevy in 1972 and disconnected it!
Thank you,

You can leave them tucked under the carpet. The wires at the end connect to the seatbelt retractors. The 2-wire connector on the passenger side connected to a long swtch atteched under the seat springs.
Sitting in the passenger seat caused the switch to connect the yellow and white wires seen in the last photo. This way, the (un-used) driver-side seatbelt caused the buzzer to activate whenever the car was driven, but the (un-used) passenger-side seatbelt will only activate the buzzer whenever someone is sitting in the passenger seat. To be safe, I would route the wire behind the console mount in the center.
