Where to find buckets for resto-mod?
Hi,
Restoring (resto-mod) my 1970 Olds Cutlass Supreme hardtop. Where do I find buckets to replace the bench? I don't need it to be original but to look like they belong.
Also, recommendation on kit to move shifter from steering wheel to floor?
Thanks much!

1970-72 era seats are not hard to find. You can even buy reproduction seat skeletons now. Any early A body will do. Some have also put in F body (Firebird/camaro) seats.
You can also purchase any aftermarket floor shifter to install in it. However, I perfer the stock items.
If you are interested, I have a factory 1972 tilt floor shift steering Column (meaning no provisions for a shifter), console and shifter (but no cables) that belong in that car. Can't help you with the seats though.
I'm in SC, but frequent Fayetteville, NC regularly as I own property there.
let me know if this interests you and we can talk.

No, but A-body restorers have driven the price to the stratosphere. Expect to pay $250 and up for a pair of completely destroyed buckets. Redone ones run $700 a pair and up. You do realize you will need the bucket seat brackets for the floor, right? These are available from repro houses.
