Vert top questions......
Have had my 65 for a few years now and only drive it on sunny days.
Top is trashed and inop so it stays down.
Still thinking about doing the top install myself (don't bother telling me how hard it is I already know)
The 1st thing is getting it working again by itself (power top)
Where to start?
I am going to brace for the worst, rebuild or replace pumps and switches
what else should I brace for ?![Big Grin](https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I do have manuals. Hoping someone here has been through the trouble shooting and can offer some ideas/help
TIA

Since it is trashed, get the mechanicals working well before replacing the top itself.
Check the pump, cylinders and lines for leakage. Replace whatever leaks.
If the motor will not run, check for voltage at the circuit breaker (both sides), then the switch.
If it has a relay, it will need checking.
Being the 65 is different from the 70's, my knowledge stops here.
This should getcha started though...
