Question vacuum gauge

I came across an old vacuum gauge I have had for years that came out of the interior of some kind of Olds, I don't know what. It's about 3 3/4" wide and has "Oldsmobile" on the lens. I took it apart and the only number I could find was- 641170 IMPI. This is on the inside of the outer housing. Anybody know what year and model this came off of?

Thanks, Chumley

Sorry, I haven't a clue and would only be guessing. Maybe Texasred or Jdorour would know, they both are libraries of information when it comes to Oldsmobile history and tidbits of info like that. Perhaps they will notice this thread and answer if they can help. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for that vote of confidence, Dan! I don't think it's so much a library of information with me, but 10 pounds of trivia in a 5 pound bag. Others might think it's something besides trivia!

If it has an aluminum cup housing and a mounting foot on the bottom, it probably came from a 64-66 Olds with a console.

I put one in my '71 Cutlass just because I like the looks of it.

Thanks for the compliment.
Same here... 10 pounds of trivia in a 5 pound sack.

I think the vacuum gauge is most likely from a 1960's Starfire. Vacuum gauge was common with the tach optional some years.

Cheers

I know it came stock on the 66 442. The 66's locally including mine with the 4spd all have them.

Thanks for the quick replies. The one I have does not look like the one in a picture of a '66 442 console in an Olds book I have. I think it may be a couple years older. I'll take a picture of it and post it. Thanks.... Chumley

69Delta,

Keep your eye on evilbay. I saw several priced waaaaaay too high, but I found one reasonably priced after about 6 months.

Me too..but you CAN find deals if you keep your eyes open. After watching them go for as high as $80, I scored my vacuum gauge for $12!
