66, 442 dash gauge swap with quad gauge

I,m trying to put a quad gauge http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...id=3644&sid=64 in the existing dash hole were all the idiot lights are on a 1966, 442. Does any one know how or if I can do this?

Because of it's size you'll have to rig something up. 5" is just too big for that hole. You'd have to cut/modify the bezel to make that fit. I think mine are 4 1/8 at the bottom lip.

2 1/16, 3 3/8 and 5" are pretty much the industry standard. I haven't seen any quad gauges in anything smaller than 5" but that doesn't mean they don't exist. You'll just have to search the net. There are many gauge manufacturers out there

Here are the first few that come up when you Google quad gauges. Of course, you can probably buy a factory 67 Rally Pack for what they charge for these.

New Vintage gauges...

check out these fellas

http://www.newvintageusa.com/

the 67 and 69 series are very cool, I emailed Mark over there with a question for my 69 gauges, not that they do more then just the gauges with high beams, turn signals etc etc I think these are wayyyyyy cool

442 dash gauge swap

This is interesting.
I have sold quite a few of clock deletes to some folks on CO for a similar application installing a small tach.
I would think you could modify the cover for the dummy lights or even modify an old speedo face and secure the gauge in the the dummy light bucket.
I am going downstairs to look at this one.I have plenty of both faces so hang in there.
How deep is the gauge you are considering?
Ill keep you posted.
