Trunk question, ugh...
Ok, I've been dealing with my trunk torsion bars for a while now. Finally had time to put them back in. I realized that (1) the previous owner didn't have them in right and (2) I can't figure out what exactly "right" is.
I have a 71 Cutlass Convertible. Here's the issue - does the end with the that goes into the adjustment slots go "through" the hinge mount or "behind" it? Or should the U-shaped part go through or behind?
Does anyone have a decent pic of what this should look like on a 70-72 convertible?
Others might be similar, but I don't know.
And yes, while trying to get them in place, I did knock out the trunk support and then get knocked out by the falling trunk lid.

Ok, I know it is a dumb question... I was so sure it would be obvious that I didn't even bother to take pics of how it was originally done, even though that wasn't right.
BUT - isn't there anyone else that has dealt with this, specifically on a convertible???
