Steering Wheel Column Cover

A few years ago I purchased the steering wheel column cover from Fusick #SCC682 (1st photo) before I even started my restoration. I finally got around to replacing the cover, and when I compared it with the one in my car (2nd photo), and in the assembly manual, they aren't even close to being the same. Does anyone know where you can can get a new replacement for this part? I've already tried Fusick, OPGI, and Inline Tube, and none of them carry this correct part. Most of them have the wrong part listed for a 1968 application, but from my experience, they are advertising/selling the wrong part.

Put a nice original GM part in there.

New is not equal to better.

Chris, any idea as to where I can get this original GM part, other than eBay? I don't want to buy one that is cracked, etc.
