Set belt set help please

Good morning, and Happy New Year!

I’m trying to wrap up my ‘70 442 bench set convertible project. Here’s my headache, which shouldn’t be with so much available, but is for me:

Looking for the best place/recommendations for a full seat belt kit. I need 6 belt kit, no shoulder harness, in black, with GM mark of excellence in deluxe(brushed buckle) setup. This should be a pretty universal GM package I imagine based on research.

Why is this so hard to find? Keep finding 3-point packages, but all I need is 2-point. Need full kit to make my life a little easier. We’ve done so much piecemeal on this I’d like simplicity. I appreciate all the help I’ve received throughout this build. Thank you! Pics for attention

Have you tried OPGI or Parts Place? Possibly Tamraz?

another possibility is https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/catego...eat-belts.html - all GM A-body seat belts are presumably the same per model.

Jesse Grooms can make you a set. 757-636-1032 65-72 GM seat belts are all he does. I just got a hardtop set from him (with shoulder harnesses) for $500. A set without shoulder harnesses may be slightly cheaper.

Great! I’ll try him. Happen to know if he has retractors/covers that are included? Bolts I can get easily, but the others would hemp. Thanks for the reply and assistance

X2 for Jesse Grooms. He did a set of belts for my 67 Delta (in the correct teal color), including making the correct optional shoulder belts that were not on the car originally. Excellent work.

Yes, retractors are included. You will have to ask him about the covers. The retractor covers are included, but the inner covers that go over the belts mounted to the trans tunnel may be extra. I am sure he has them though. I had a nice set from my original belts so it was not a problem.

This comes at a time when the seatbelts in my Toronado need to be refurbished. Can he lengthen them also ? What is the turn around time ? I think my seat belts have shrunk as time has passed.

Yes, Jesse can do custom work. For example, on my 67 Delta, the optional factory belts put the female buckle on the belt attached to the roof rail. I had him reverse this to the 68-up style with the smaller male buckle on the roof-mounted belt.

Thanks Joe P. The lapbelts look "worn" and I am sure they are the originals.

Be aware that between modern dyes and faded originals, the new webbing might not be exactly the same color. I had Jesse do the new shoulder belts first, and they made the original lap belts look so bad that I had him make the rest of the set.
He has a booth at Spring and Fall Carlisle, so I ordered there and new belts showed up in my mailbox a few weeks later.

Joe P, my lapbelts look grungy, frayed and faded now. They look like an eyesore because the seats are in very good condition, which makes me think they have been recovered.

The new webbing is also a little different than original. The original webbing has 3 stripes and the new webbing has 5. He was able to restore the belts in my Toronado because the original webbing was in good shape, but the buckles were pitted. Turn around time was good on the last set I bought. Ten days after I mailed the money order I had the belts were installed the car.
